Albumen is a rock band from Saratoga County, New York. Using a
blend of noisy folk songs, feedback, samples and (occasional) riffage
they harken back to a fictional and idealized past in which you would
find Woody Guthrie drinking beers with Throbbing Gristle at a Soft
Boys show.

Casio SK-1, and sings. Until recently he’s played in Boston-area
bands (Sinkcharmer, the Operators) as a member of the Handstand
Command collective.
plays guitar and sings. He was member of Pope Icky, a loud
Ithaca band, before leaving to broadcast indie rock to oppressed
people in Southeast Asia. Now he sings about happy things like
ornithology and death.
is the newest member of the group. In addition to all of the hazing, he plays drums, guitar and singing. He also raised the Red Sox to Yankee fan ratio to 2:1. Take that Steinbrenner.
